By engaging Crown Web Co. for any web design or digital services, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before we begin your project.
01 Services
Crown Web Co. provides custom web design, development, and digital services to local businesses. Services may include but are not limited to:
- Custom website design and development (single-page and multi-page)
- Mobile-responsive design
- Contact form setup and lead capture integration
- SMS lead notification setup (via third-party services)
- Website hosting and domain management (via Netlify)
- Ongoing website maintenance and care plans
The specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for each engagement are outlined in the proposal provided to the client prior to project start. Verbal agreements are not binding — only written proposals signed or acknowledged via email constitute a service agreement.
02 Payment Terms
One-time project fees are due as follows:
- 50% non-refundable deposit due before project work begins
- Remaining 50% due upon project completion, before final files or domain transfer are delivered
Monthly care plans (Essential Care, Signature Care, Crown Care) are billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe. The first payment is due upon plan activation.
- Invoices are sent on or around the same date each month
- Payments more than 7 days past due may result in suspension of hosting and services
- A $25 late fee may be applied to accounts 14+ days overdue
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Crown Web Co. does not store credit card information.
03 Ownership & Rights
Upon receipt of full payment, the client receives full ownership of the final website files, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code produced by Crown Web Co.
- Ownership does not transfer until final payment is received in full
- Crown Web Co. retains the right to display the completed work in its portfolio and marketing materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing
- Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their respective licenses
- Custom-generated images produced by Crown Web Co. via AI tools for the project are delivered to the client as work-for-hire upon full payment
04 Revisions
Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as specified in the proposal. Standard project packages include:
- Up to 2 rounds of revisions during the design and build phase
- Revisions are defined as adjustments to existing work — not new features or significant scope changes
- Additional revision rounds beyond what is included are billed at $75/hour
Scope changes requested after project kickoff may affect timeline and pricing. Crown Web Co. will provide a revised estimate before proceeding with any out-of-scope work.
05 Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete business information (name, address, phone, services, hours)
- Respond to design review requests within 5 business days to avoid project delays
- Review and approve all content and design before launch
- Provide any logos, images, or brand assets needed for the project in a timely manner
- Ensure all content provided to Crown Web Co. is owned by the client or properly licensed for use
Crown Web Co. is not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or legal issues arising from content provided by the client.
06 Hosting & Maintenance
Website hosting is provided through Netlify (crowncitywebco.com subdomain) or the client's own domain, managed by Crown Web Co. Monthly care plans include:
- Essential Care ($55/mo): Hosting, uptime monitoring, minor text/image updates
- Signature Care ($115/mo): Everything in Essential + priority support, monthly content updates, performance checks
- Crown Care ($235/mo): Everything in Signature + SEO updates, landing page additions, lead reporting
Care plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract required. Either party may cancel with 30 days written notice.
Upon cancellation of a care plan, Crown Web Co. will provide the client with all final website files within 7 business days. Hosting on Crown Web Co. infrastructure will end at the close of the final billing period.
07 Cancellation Policy
Project cancellations:
- The 50% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance
- If the project is cancelled after substantial work has been completed, additional fees may apply based on work performed
- If Crown Web Co. cancels a project due to unresponsiveness (client has not responded for 30+ days), the deposit is forfeited and the project is considered closed
Care plan cancellations:
08 Limitation of Liability
Crown Web Co. makes no guarantees regarding specific business outcomes, lead volume, search engine rankings, or revenue generated from websites we build. Our responsibility is to deliver a well-built, functional website — results depend on many factors outside our control.
- Crown Web Co. is not liable for downtime, data loss, or security incidents caused by third-party hosting providers (Netlify, Formspree, Twilio, Stripe, etc.)
- Crown Web Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services
- Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total amount paid for services in the 3 months preceding the claim
09 Third-Party Services
Crown Web Co. builds websites that integrate with third-party services. These services have their own terms and privacy policies:
- Netlify — website hosting and deployment
- Stripe — payment processing
- Formspree — contact form submissions
- Twilio — SMS lead notifications
- Google Business Profile — local search presence
Crown Web Co. is not responsible for the availability, pricing changes, or policy changes of third-party services. If a third-party service is discontinued, we will work with the client to find an alternative solution.
10 Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Riverside County, California.
Crown Web Co. reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services following a terms update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
